Circle 'Muurahaiset' LP

Finland's Circle, helmed mostly by Jussi Lehtisalo, for several decades have been delivering everything from kosmische-inspired rock to NWOBHM-type music and lots of experimental sonics in between. Due to this, they've never been easy to place outside of simply adhering to a non-conformity that belies expectation typical of many Finnish groups spawned during the '90s. On this album, they deliver nine cuts that embrace all from sound collage and field records to demented ur-folk antics that recall the spirit of Ya Ho Wha 13, Cromagnon and the universe inhabited by ESP-Disk, once again illustrating their tendency to simultaneously baffle and conjure exciting soundworlds perfect for a late evening sesh.
