Anybody paying close enough attention during more recent years should have noticed that Volcano The Bear co-founder Nick Mott has long been producing music under his own name. Not only that but it always arrives adorned in his own highly distinctive artwork. Since his debut solo LP, 'The Visitors', on the defunct Alt. Vinyl in 2012, Nick has released a couple more albums, a 7"/art print package and lathe-cut 10"/art print set all on Fourth Dimension's sister label Lumberton Trading Company. Another album is also planned for the label hopefully later in 2024.

In the meantime, however, Fourth Dimension is pleased to announce that a hardback A4 book will be coming during the spring gathering many of Nick's drawings and art as well as text about many of them, some automatic writing pieces and a short interview. Limited to 250, the book will also house a CD featuring new music by Nick exclusive to it.

In his own words, this is what he had to say about the project:

"'Withings (things - with - wings - within)' is a deep-look 200-page monograph, focussing on a selection of work from the last calendar year. The book serves to cast a light on the processes, techniques, methods, tools, inspirations, and willing intentions behind an ongoing and compulsive quest to discover what improvised drawing and spelling can reveal about magic, art, and the inherent consciousness of materials."

'Withings (things - with - wings - within)' will be published during late spring 2024. The CD/book package will not be reprinted once sold out.
